Herbarium Collection - Dodecatheon Meadia

This hand-carved linoleum block print series was built from a personal collection of pressed flowers, plants and leaves.

This Vitex specimen was collected in 2022 and was carved during a residency in Copenhagen in 2024. Dodecatheon meadia as Shooting Star is a perennial wildflower native to North America. It belongs to the Primulaceae family and is admired for its distinctive, reflexed-petal flowers that resemble shooting stars, hence the name.

It is printed to order on beige pacon paper with linseed oil inks in tones of burgundy and rose and measures 45cm x 30cm.
